Education

After serving an LDS mission in Japan in1969 to 1971, Dr. Ence attended Southern Utah State College, and received a B.S. degree in Chemistry.

After successful application to dental school, he attended the University of the Pacific.

He graduated in 1977 with honors, ranking fourth in his class. He received special awards from the fixed prosthetics department and the oral surgery department for his outstanding work in those areas. After graduating, he was employed by the University of the Pacific as an instructor in the crown and bridge department.


Professional Experience

In addition to instructing at the dental school, Dr. Ence has been in private practice since 1977. His experience includes practicing in Las Vegas, Nevada as well as St. George, Utah. Dr. Ence has served on the hospital staff at Humana Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada as an emergency care dentist. Dr. Ence has been a member of the American Dental Association since 1977. He has served in leadership positions in both the Nevada Dental Association and the Utah Dental Association. He has also served as President of the Utah Dental Association.
